About Us

HUAYU has built semi-trailers in Shandong since 2001. From a 600,000 m² factory in Liangshan County we ship flatbed, low-bed, tipper, fuel-tanker, bulk-cement, container, fence, and side-curtain trailers to buyers across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

Welcome to HUAYU Vehicle

Shandong HUAYU Vehicle Co., Ltd. is a full-range semi-trailer manufacturer founded in 2001 in Liangshan County, Shandong — one of China's oldest trailer-building clusters. The Liangshan factory covers 600,000 m², runs 10 dedicated production lines, employs 500 full-time staff, and ships about 10,000 finished trailers a year.

Every trailer is built in-house, from steel plate to final inspection — cutting, forming, robotic welding, paint, axle fitment, and road test all happen on the same floor. We have held ISO 9001 quality management certification continuously since 24 October 2008 (currently on the 5th renewal cycle, valid through 27 August 2026), ISO 14001 environmental certification, and China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for vehicle products under China's national 3C programme. The ISO 9001 scope covers 12 trailer categories plus tank containers.

Forty trailers leave this gate every working day

Roughly 40 finished trailers leave this gate on an average working day, around 200 per week across our ten lines. Standard orders dispatch in 7 to 15 working days after the order is confirmed; bulk orders of 20 units or more run 25 to 45 days. The open yard you can see at the bottom of the picture is where buyers walk during pre-shipment inspection — most export orders are signed off in person before container loading begins. From this gate it is 4 hours by truck to Qingdao container port.

What separates a long-life trailer from a cheap one

Most failures a buyer eventually sees — a chassis that sags after 18 months, a tank seam that starts weeping in the second year, a sidewall that rattles loose at highway speed — were already decided before the trailer left the factory. They come from the production-floor choices below: how plate is cut, how tank heads are formed, how welds are laid down. Putting machine-grade tolerance on those steps is what keeps the outcome predictable from the first unit of an order to the last.

Parts cut here arrive at the welding bay within ±0.2 mm of nominal. The chassis fixture closes on the first try — no shim, no re-grind, no hidden welds covering a misfit. It is one of the reasons our chassis tracks straight under load instead of pulling to one side after a few thousand kilometres.

Goosenecks, axle saddles, and twist-lock seats are cut from single thick plates instead of welded together from smaller pieces. Fewer joints mean fewer fatigue points — the places where heavy-haul chassis crack first. Off-cut nesting keeps material waste below 8%, which is the only reason single-plate construction stays affordable.

Hydraulic Tank-Head Press

Every tank end cap is pressed in one stroke from a single steel disc — no joint, no seam, just a dished shape. That is what keeps tank ends from weeping when the tanker carries hot bitumen or hot lubricant, and the reason pressure tests at 2× working load rarely flag end-cap failures on our tanks.

A tank that is not truly round flexes unevenly on the road, and the longitudinal seam is where the flex finds the weakest spot. The rolling line and fit-up jig hold the cylinder within 0.5 mm before the sub-arc weld runs in one continuous pass. Tanks built this way consistently pass pressure test and stay leak-free over long-haul service.

Side panels, lashing rails, and stiffeners come off the brakes within ±0.5° across the full 6-metre length. That repeatability matters when panels meet at the corner posts: tight fits mean no whistling wind gaps at highway speed and no rattling sidewalls when the trailer runs empty on bad roads.

Robotic Sub-Arc Welding

The main beam top and bottom flanges are welded in a single heat by robotic sub-arc cells. Multi-pass manual welding leaves a slight upward bow in long chassis members from accumulated heat — bow that slowly sags over years of service until the trailer rides low. One-pass robotic welding skips that problem, and is why our chassis stay level over long-service life.

We have shipped to your destination port before

The first time HUAYU sends a trailer to a new country, we are learning its customs paperwork, axle-weight regulations, lighting standards, and which shipping lines have regular service to its main port. By the 48th country, all of that is in the file, ready to re-use on the next order. Most of the destinations below repeat — the same buyers come back, and new buyers from those markets ask for the same configuration their neighbours already run. The list is where finished HUAYU trailers have actually landed and cleared customs, not a target list.

Every certificate below is current and was issued by a third-party authority with a public verification database. The China Quality Certification Center publishes every active ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 number we hold, along with its issuing date, scope, and renewal cycle; the CCC mark on each trailer model is independently audited during production. We have held continuous ISO 9001 status since 24 October 2008 — losing a renewal would shut HUAYU out of most government and oilfield tenders, so the cycle is taken seriously. Chassis are designed and inspected to Chinese national GB standards for road vehicles, and tank products meet GB 18564 for road tank transport equipment.

The name on your contract is the name on the factory gate

A common worry with Chinese suppliers is that the company signing your sales contract is a trading shell that outsources production to whichever workshop has free capacity that month — leaving you with no counterparty if a warranty claim comes up two years later. HUAYU has been the same registered entity at the same Liangshan address since 2001. The manufacturing entity (Shandong HUAYU Group Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) and the export entity (Shandong HUAYU International Trade Co., Ltd.) are both public filings on the China National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System (gsxt.gov.cn), and both names appear on every contract we sign.

HUAYU is a direct manufacturer — not a trading company. Our 600,000 square meter factory in Liangshan, Shandong has been producing semi trailers since 2001. When you buy from us, your trailer is built on our own production lines by our own workers. You are welcome to visit the factory and inspect production in person before placing an order.

Our MOQ is 1 unit. Whether you need a single trailer for a specific project or a fleet of 100 units for a logistics operation, we handle orders of all sizes. Larger orders (10+ units) qualify for volume pricing discounts.

Our export sales engineers will recommend the best trailer type and configuration based on your specific needs. We ask about the cargo you transport (type, weight, dimensions), the road conditions in your country, local axle load regulations, and your budget. Based on this, we provide a detailed proposal with technical drawings within 3 working days — free of charge.

Production time depends on the order: a single standard trailer takes 7-15 working days; custom orders or large batches (20+ units) take 25-45 days. Ocean shipping typically adds 15-35 days depending on the destination port. We handle all export documentation, container loading, and customs clearance from Qingdao port.
