Shipping Policy

We ship semi trailers worldwide from Qingdao Port, China. Displayed prices are FOB Qingdao; CIF quotes to any destination port are available on request, with a reply within 24 hours. We handle all export documentation, loading, and customs clearance from the Chinese side.

1. Order Processing Timeline

Lead times are counted from receipt of your deposit. Timing varies by order size and configuration:

• Standard single trailer: ships in 7–15 working days after deposit, including final inspection, export documentation, and loading.
• Custom configurations or 2–10 units: 15–25 working days for engineering review, production, and dispatch preparation.
• Fleets of 20+ units: 25–45 working days for production scheduling and vessel or container coordination.

Processing timelines are estimates and may vary depending on order complexity and current factory workload. HUAYU will provide regular updates with photographs and videos.

2. Shipping Methods

We ship worldwide from Qingdao Port by RORO vessel, flat rack or 40HQ/45HC container, or bulk cargo ship, whichever is most economical for the model and order size:

• Container shipping (40HQ/45HC): Commonly used for flatbed trailers and smaller equipment. Smaller trailers can be nested 2–3 units per 45ft container to cut sea freight.
• RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off): Used for fully assembled trailers that can be driven onto the vessel. Suitable for bulk carrier trailers, tipper trailers, and other models that cannot be disassembled. We spray-wax the trailer body before loading to protect the paint from seawater.
• Bulk cargo ship / Flat rack: Used for oversized or heavy-duty trailers that do not fit in standard containers. Open-top containers and flat racks are available for special dimensions.

3. Shipping Timeline

Sea transit is quoted separately by route and typically takes 20–40 days from Qingdao Port to the destination port. Typical ranges by region:

• Southeast Asia: 10–20 days
• Middle East: 15–25 days
• East Africa: 20–30 days
• West Africa: 25–35 days
• South America: 30–40 days
• Central Asia (overland): 15–25 days

These timelines are estimates. Actual delivery times may vary due to weather, port congestion, customs processing, or other factors beyond our control.

4. Shipping Costs & Trade Terms

Displayed prices are FOB Qingdao, China. On request we provide a CFR or CIF quote to any destination port — CFR adds the sea freight, CIF adds sea freight and marine insurance — and reply within 24 hours.

• FOB Qingdao: Your freight forwarder collects the goods at Qingdao Port. We deliver the trailer to the port, complete Chinese export clearance, and hand over to your forwarder.
• CIF (any destination port): We book the vessel and marine insurance, and the full freight cost appears as a separate line in the quotation.
• Inland transport: Delivery from the destination port to your final location is not included and is the customer's responsibility. Contact us if you need assistance arranging inland transport.
• Import duties and taxes: Customs duties, VAT, and any import taxes at the destination country are the buyer's responsibility, calculated by the local customs authority based on the country's tariff schedule.

5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

The customer is responsible for all customs clearance procedures, import duties, taxes, and fees at the destination country. HUAYU will provide all necessary export documentation to facilitate customs clearance, including:

• Commercial invoice
• Packing list
• Bill of Lading (B/L)
• Certificate of Origin
• Product inspection certificates (upon request)

Import duty rates and customs procedures vary by country. We recommend consulting with a local customs broker in your country before placing your order.

6. Packaging and Protection

All trailers are prepared for ocean transport with appropriate protective measures:

• Spray-wax applied to the trailer body before RORO or bulk loading to protect the paint from seawater
• Tarpaulin cover for Ro-Ro and flat rack shipments
• Spare parts and accessories securely packed inside the trailer or in separate boxes
• Lashing and securing to meet international shipping standards

7. Shipment Tracking

Once the trailer has left our facility, your shipment will be assigned a Bill of Lading number. Our sales team will provide you with:

• Photographs and videos of the loading process
• Bill of Lading and shipping documents
• Vessel name and estimated arrival date
• Regular updates on shipment status

8. Damaged Shipments

Inspect the trailer upon arrival at the destination port. Report any transit damage to HUAYU within 24 hours of delivery, with detailed photographs. Please retain all packing materials to support the claims process.

How a claim is handled depends on the trade term. Under CIF orders, marine insurance is included in the CIF quotation and transit damage claims are handled through that insurance policy — we prepare the claim together with you. Under FOB orders, transit risk passes to you when the goods are loaded at Qingdao, and insurance is arranged by you or your forwarder.
