The trailer carries livestock and animals, bagged bulk cargo, vegetables and fruits, building materials, and mechanical parts — a wide load range that makes it useful across multiple seasons and industries.

The standard size is 40 feet, but HUAYU can build this fence semi trailer in 20, 40, or 45 feet to match the buyer's requirements. The biggest practical advantage of this fence cargo semi trailer is the removable fence design. When the fences are not needed or when the operator needs to carry containers instead, the fence panels come off and the trailer works as a standard flatbed. That dual-use capability means one trailer does the work of two.

Main Beam and Frame Construction

The main beam uses a heavy-duty I-beam design in high-tensile Q345B steel, welded by automatic submerged-arc processes. Submerged-arc welding produces deep penetration welds with consistent quality across long runs — exactly the process you want on a main beam that carries 60 tonnes of payload over rough roads. The frame beam has specific dimensions: top flange 14mm wide at 140mm, middle flange 8mm, bottom flange 16mm at 140mm, with a 500mm main beam height. This I-beam profile is built for load-bearing, not weight saving.

Floor thickness is 3mm in a patterned finish for grip, with 16# channel edge beams, 10# channel through beams, and 6# channel along beams (6 pieces). The 12 twist locks allow container securing when the fences are removed. Tare weight is about 8.5 tonnes, and the fence height is 0.4m + 0.4m with a 0.2m middle gap, paired with 0.6m side walls.

Running Gear and Suspension

The 3-axle configuration uses mechanical suspension in a reinforced type with 90mm x 16mm x 10-layer leaf springs. Those leaf springs give high cushioning capacity, which matters for livestock transport where ride quality directly affects animal welfare and arrival condition. JOST landing gear has 28T lifting capacity with a two-speed mechanism. The king pin is a 2.00 or 3.5 inch bolt-in design, and 12 tires distribute the load. A standard tool box and spare tire rack are included.

Paint and Corrosion Protection

The painting process starts with complete chassis sand blasting to remove rust, followed by one coat of anti-corrosive primer and two coats of final paint. Sand blasting before painting is important — paint applied over mill scale or surface rust does not adhere properly and peels within months. Starting with a clean surface means the paint system lasts.
